The University of San Francisco International Business Plan Competition (IBPC) has become perhaps the most highly regarded business plan event of its kind. Skilled teams of student entrepreneurs from around the world will compete for prize money as they present their plans to a panel of judges that could only be assembled in the San Francisco Bay Area: Professional Entrepreneurs, Venture Capitalists, and Angel Investors representing the key players of Silicon Valley Business. The IBPC will take place March 25 & 26, 2010 in the heart of San Francisco. This year’s venue, Hotel Kabuki, is an elegant location – in the center of “the City’s” Japantown neighborhood.
Teams are required to submit their proposals that fall under at least one of three areas:
Clean-Tech
Medical Devices/Life Sciences
Web Based and Consumer
Prizes
Grand Prize: $10,000
Second Prize: $5,000
Third Prize: $2,000
Elevator Pitch Prize: $2,000
Prizes will be awarded based on Rules and Judging Criteria .
As previous entrants will attest, the IBPC is not just about winning the prize money. Many of our contestants have gone on to receive funding for their projects from the coaches and judges that assess their submissions. Major media outlets will also be present to cover your business plan submissions. The IBPC is about taking the next steps to transform your ideas into marketable products and services. This is a genuine shot at turning your dreams into a business!
