Brandon R Brown
Professor, Director of External Affairs
Brandon Brown pursued doctoral training in superconductivity
and low-temperature physics, with postdoctoral work in science
communication. Once at the University of San Francisco, he shifted
his research focus to topics in sensory biophysics. Over the last
ten years, his laboratory, his research students, and various
collaborators have explored the electric and magnetic sensory
abilities of a variety of creatures.
From 2004-2008, Brandon served as Associate Dean for Sciences, and
during this time the University completed planning stages for the
new
Center for Science and
Innovation. Today, when not teaching or conducting research, he
continues to spread the word about this project to alumni and other
groups in his role as Director of External Affairs for the College
of Arts and Sciences.
